Overview
Parquet and timber floors bring a warmth that tile never quite matches, but they are sensitive to what is underneath. A base that is uneven or holds moisture leads to gaps, cupping, and a floor that clicks underfoot within a year.
We supply and install solid, engineered, and laminate wood flooring over a properly prepared base, with the correct underlay and expansion gaps. The subfloor is checked for level and moisture first, so the floor stays flat, quiet, and tight.
What we cover
Supply and installation of engineered and solid timber flooring in a range of species, tones, and plank sizes.
Hard-wearing laminate floors as a cost-effective timber-look option for bedrooms, living areas, and offices.
Levelling, moisture checks, and underlay so the floor sits flat and quiet without gaps or cupping later.
Matching skirtings, thresholds, and edge trims fitted to finish the floor cleanly at walls and doorways.
How it works
We check the base for level and moisture, since both decide whether a timber floor stays flat over time.
The subfloor is levelled where needed and the correct underlay is laid to cushion and quieten the floor.
Planks are laid with the right expansion gaps at the perimeter so the floor can move without lifting or gapping.
Skirtings and thresholds are fitted, the floor is cleaned, and we walk it with you to confirm the finish.
Solid parquet is a single piece of timber, engineered wood has a real timber top layer on a stable core, and laminate is a printed timber-look surface on a board. Engineered is the usual choice in Singapore for its stability in humidity; laminate is the budget option.
Often yes, provided the existing floor is level, sound, and dry. We check level and moisture first, since laying over an uneven or damp base is what causes gaps and cupping later.
Almost always because of moisture in the subfloor or missing expansion gaps at the perimeter. Both are avoidable with proper checks and installation, which is why we test the base before laying anything.
